Police investigations have reported the murder-suicide of a senior police officer, his wife, and their 14-year-old daughter. Their bodies were found in a house in Bangkok’s Thung Khru district on Monday.
According to the Bangkok Post, Bangkok’s Thung Khru police were called to Soi Pracha Uthit 54 in the Bang Mot subdistrict at 10 am.
The team found a black Mercedes parked in front of the house with blood stains on the front passenger seat and on the window.
When they entered the home they found the bodies of a man and a woman on the bed, both with bullet wounds to the head. A 9mm pistol was found on the body of the man.
In a second bedroom, officers found the body of a 14-year-old girl, also with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police identified the man only as a police lieutenant, aged 57. He was an investigator at Metropolitan Police Division 8 in Bangkok.
At first, the officer was believed to have shot his wife dead in the car, carried her body to their second-floor bedroom, and then shot their daughter in the head before turning the gun on himself.
The motive for the murder-suicide by the police officer is still unknown. The investigation is continuing on the murder mystery.
